Richard Friend produces abstract artworks in oil, watercolour and mixed media.   Using a technique combining colour with the element of mark-making Richard has produced paintings with an unusual viewpoint with images that seem to bring you flying in over the countryside.   His work is very welcoming and the seductive colours and textures certainly draw you into a geographical landscape with a sense of drama and a hint of narrative within the paintings.  There is a strong link to the coastline, with the occasional little gold boat giving a suggestion of a warm welcome ashore in one of his signature ‘little white houses’
